Summer style tips: Five inspiring ways to style a shirt

Hey squaddies, this post is dedicated to a personal favourite, a must-have STAPLE wardrobe piece: the classic shirt. This is an understated item which every woman should own alongside a pair of good jeans, tee, and jacket. There are so many ways you can really work a shirt in your wardrobe to style your OUTFIT. For today's post I have created a ROUNDUP of my TOP FIVE inspiring ways to use an ordinary shirt as a statement item for your summer looks. The traditional way of wearing a shirt is a thing of the past, it is time to give your shirt an INSTA-WORTHY style update! To create these looks I have worn an OVERSIZED shirt because it is easier to WORK the looks with that extra fabric.

The Half-Tuck
THE HALF TUCK: This look is very simple and easy to create - it looks great on the body for those ladies wanting to accentuate their curves.
OUTFIT: Jeans: River Island | Shirt: Ralph Lauren | Clutch: Zara | Shoes: Ajvani

One Shoulder
ONE SHOULDER: I have be created a dedicated YouTube video on HOW TO create this look: HERE. I stole the boy's shirt to create this outfit - there is a sheer blouse worn underneath the shirt which creates a contrast effect.
OUTFIT: Shirt and sheer blouse: Ralph Lauren | Jeans: American Eagle | Shoes: Rupert Sanderson

The Strapless
STRAPLESS: This look was created by buttoning up the shirt half way and using the sleeves to tie under the bustline to create the shape. It is great for hiding the belly as it draws attention to the bustline.

The Bralet
BRALET: For anyone wanting to try this summer's sexy BRALET trend but with a twist!
OUTFIT: Shirt:  Ralph Lauren| Bralet: BCBG Max Azria | Jeans: All Saints | Shoes: From an independant boutique | Handbag: Vintage Chanel

Off The Shoulder (OTS)
OTS: This Isa Arfen shirt is actually an OTS shirt but you can easily loosen up your shirt buttons and drop the shoulders on a standard shaped shirt to create a similar look to this.
